Moat Prebid Viewability

BidCore provides you an option to enable prebid viewability measurement powered by Moat. If this option is enabled, BidCore will only bid on requests with viewability equal or above the selected value. Moat prebid viewability can be enabled on the Line Item level, see the Line Item Management section for setup instructions.

BidCore supports prebid viewability measurement for HTML/Banner and Video creatives. For Native creatives, viewability measurement is not supported. Viewability measurement is supported for both web and in-app traffic.

If Moat prebid viewability is enabled, the following steps are performed by the system upon receiving a bid request.

  1. BidCore receives a bid request.

  2. BidCore requests an impression viewability prediction from Moat.

  3. Moat responds with a possibility of the impression being seen by the user.

    The possibility is measured in percents and divisible by 10; it cannot be above 90% or below 20%.

  4. BidCore responds the initial bid request with a bid or no bid depending on the viewability setting on the line item.

    If Moat doesn’t respond or the viewability in the Moat response is lower than the viewability set on the line item, BidCore responds the initial bid request with no bid.

If Moat prebid viewability is enabled, the following vendor fees are applied:

  • $0.20 CPM impression fee for video;

  • $0.11 CPM impression fee for display.
