  • The BidCore team is excited to announce that we began the process of transitioning users from version 1.0 of the BidCore interface to version 2.0. This represents a major upgrade in workflow efficiency, speed, and functionality. We are currently finalizing the global transition plan for all clients, which will be shared with you directly by your client services manager. All current campaigns and settings will be migrated, and we’ll be providing training sessions and materials before switching over your UI to the new version.

Added the Buy traffic with undefined IAB content categories checkbox to manage-line-item. This function is enabled by default and allows the bidder to purchase relevant traffic even if requests do not contain IAB categories when Content Categories targeting is specified.

Note

Disabling this function could greatly reduce your ability to buy relevant inventory as Suppliers do not always include the category field as it is optional in OpenRTB.

This BidCore API V2 release added the following changes.

  • Added domain list validation, you can now POST a list to the /domain_lists/validate/ endpoint, and it will return an array of any invalid domains in your list, see the /domains_list/ section for more details.

  • Added URL list validation, you can now POST a list to the /url_lists/validate/ endpoint, and it will return an array of any invalid URLs in your list, see the /url_lists/ section for more details.

  • Added ASAP Pacing and a Monthly timeline option to Campaign management. These can be set through the /campaigns/ endpoint using the is_monthly and pacing fields, see the /campaigns/ endpoint docs for more details.

  • Added VAST event support to strategy tracking, use a GET call to the /strategies/ endpoint to check if a VAST event is associated with a strategy. If one is set the endpoint will return tracking_events.event_type.code set to vast_event

  • Added the ability to GET dictionaries of the following items and their values that BidCore uses.

    • GET Browser Versions, e.g. /dicts/browser_versions/, see the Dictionaries section of the API docs for all available options

    • GET Device Models /dict/device_models/

    • GET Operating System Versions /dicts/operating_system_versions/

Important

The monthly budget is calculated on a calendar month basis. If you start a campaign on the 15th, the campaign will spend half of the specified budget. But if you set the campaign start date to the 1st of the month but you only start trading on the 15th, the campaign will spend all of the monthly budget in the following two weeks
